Good Ole Prawn Cocktail with shredded lettuce, lemon and cucumber
Classic prawn cocktail.
Now this starter is an all-time fav of mine, but you can have this as a main. Why not. Fresh, quick and easy to make.

Ingredients
- 20 x cooked tiger prawns (cleaned)
- lemon juice, to taste
- 1 Little Gem lettuce
- 2 Slices of lemon
- 2 slices of cucumber
- Cayenne pepper, to serve
For the cocktail sauce
- 2 Tbsp of Hot Pepper Sauce
- 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
Prep Instructions
- Shredd the Gem lettuce and place in ice-cold water to crisp it up.
- For the sauce, mix all the ingredients together. (You can add more Hot Pepper Sauce if you like it hotter).
- To assemble the cocktails, drain the lettuce and pat dry with kitchen towel paper. Arrange the lettuce in small glass bowls.
- Add lemon to prawns and add the prawns to the cocktail sauce.
- Place the mixture of prawns and sauce on top of the lettuce.
- Top prawns with a sprinkling of cayenne pepper.
- Place the sliced lemon and cucumber on the side of the dish.
- Enjoy!
